Abacus is a very stable variety created in Humbolt County in Northern CA over 12 years ago. It is the cross between OG and Purple Urkle and high CBD hemp. The plant is a dependable high CBD plant that produces purple flowers with very high in oil content and rich in terpenes. This plant is very tolerant of both heat and cold, mold, mildew and pests. Abacus grows 4 to 7 feet in a tree like structure. Many growers plant these in closer rows than other bushy varieties. An excellent row crop variety. They can be planted by seed or transplants and are also easy to clone. They can be planted the beginning of May through mid June and will trigger into flowering the end of July. All high CBD plants can go above .3% THC from things like stress and nutrient level but Abacus is considered a more tolerable and safe plant to grow for even the inexperienced grower but still should be tested about 2-3 weeks after the beginning of flowering.

I have to say I'm really impressed with these feminized Abacus seeds. We have thousands of them started and the germination rate is over 95% and they look strong and healthy. I am so excited to be able to grow feminized this year! We ourselves have found Abacus to be a particularly good oil producer. There are several varieties of Abacus available.

Early Abacus is for biomass harvest plans. This is intended for large scale farming. As with all Abacus it is a very oily plant and is a solid oil producer however the terpene profile is more varied than the other more smokeable Ab varieties. So it has not been bred for producing consistent terpene profiles in every flower as the Ab 2 and the Cherry Ab has been. These are fast-growing vigorous growers that can be harvested early and still produce large flowers. Maximizes yield per acre. It tends to be a vertical strain and can be used in row cropping. The recommended planting rate is 10 to 15,000 plants per acre.

Cherry Abacus is an Abacus strain that has Cherry cultivars bred into it. The result is a strong Cherry essence folded into the regular pungent berry of the Abacus. This variety is a great smokeable. A vertical grower, with the recommended seed rate of 5 to 7,000 plants per acre.

Abacus is great for both oil production and smokeable hemp. It has a more highly developed terpene profile that takes after its OG lineage. As with all of these Abacus it is a vertical grower but if the plan is for a smokeable crop, allow a bit more room for development.
